Rope barriers and retractable barriers

Stanchion rope barriers appear all over the city- some that we have spotted have been stanchions that appear from the pavement. using a remote control, the stanchions can be raised from the ground. This blocks traffic and stop cars from entering one way streets where traffic needs to be diverted. the automatic stanchions pay a permanent role in the city and can have a huge affect on the direction of traffic flow. This can also be said for the rope barriers and retractable barrier posts. They are used for directing foot traffic giving you control within interior spaces and it only takes a stanchion to make work easier for all staff. Cafeteria lines, car dealerships or even banks will find value in a rope barrier stanchion or retractable barrier stanchion. Having different coloured stanchions is also a great way to give any indication of what the stanchion might represent. Red retractable barrier posts might mean danger. Red rope barrier stanchions may imply mean an A-listers event. Which ever stanchion you choose to use as part of your interior queue management, stanchions will give you total control within your premises.

Stanchions & Barrier Posts

The stanchions and barrier posts come in a range of sizes, styles and colours and recently we have spotted a range of retractable posts that are supported with two retractable bands. These retractable bands are ffound both at the top and middle of the posts. Stretching across at two levels means that it can stop kids from running unerneathe the retractable barriers. The busiest of places such as airports would find that this type of barrier would be most helpful as a lot of kids run ramplant around queue management systems. Places that do not have to constantly release the tensa baarier to let people through will find these kinds of stanchions an advantage to their business. Another place that may find these kinds of stanchions helpful are amusement parks where there are always kids running around and trying to run through and around the queue management system to get through to the front of the line. USe the retractable barrier posts to your advanatge and prevent kids from running ramapnt in your area.

Stanchion Accessories

There are many stanchion accessories out on the market today and they are a great way to keep up with trends in your premises. Take for example sign holders for rope stanchions. These sign holders can be used on top of posts to indicate where lines start or end and can also be used to advertise other products or services that you may have to offer. These sign holders for stanchions are usually of matching finishes, such as gold stanchions with golds sign holders. They are also available for retractable barriers too. Stanchions are a somewhat modular system where by the decorative top of the posts can be taken off to be replaced with sign holders. This makes them ideal for changing environments or new set ups that are needed in your premises. We have also seen stanchions with built in cigarette holders which are great for being used outside pubs, clubs, restaurants or casinos. These stanchions with accessories will help highlight your premises and are sure to be a trend in your area.

Retractable Barrier Posts

Retractable barrier posts are a great device to have at exhibitions and trade events. Blocking, stopping and controlling crowds can mean more control when it comes to your venue or event. Stanchions will help you create time and add value to your event.
Controlling crowds is a to keep clear of an area will mean that you will be able to create time and space to set up and prepare for your guests or audience. Holding back patrons with a set or retractable barriers, rope barriers or stanchions will save you from having to work around the public and which would otherwise take you longer to set up the venue. Once you are ready, you can then remove the stanchion out of the way to give patrons access to the venue.
Car dealerships, restaurants, theatres or hotels frequently use the stanchion as a way of controlling the public and who enters into the area.

Rope Barriers at exhibitions

Rope barriers have an important role to play especially when it comes to protecting priceless piece of artwork.
The barrier posts indicate to people how close they are allowed to be to the artwork. Some museums and exhibitions use staff members or sensors to stop people form getting too close, but the easiest way to control people is through using rope barriers. Many paintings or artworks that cannot be encased in protected environments are usually barred off from patrons with rope barriers or retractable barriers. Some of the artworks that are not as highly prized as others are usually protected in this way. Rope barriers only need to be placed a meter away from the paintings to ensure that people do not get too close. Paintings such as the Mona Lisa are behind placed between walls of bullet proof glass.
Exhibitons with delicate pieces of work need to have rope barriers to protect them- most exhibitions find that people respect the rope barriers and understand that they cannot go past the rope barriers. They also find that having a rope barrier protecting the work means that they work has a longer life span.

Stanchions, require little effort or set up time- great for moving exhibitions and for controlling crowds. Use rope barriers to protect all your artwork at museums and exhibitions.

Stanchions design

Stanchions. We’ve covered places clubs and evening venues- and to add to that, we’ll continue on as we’ve found other interesting products that are worth mentioning. An innovative product that we have seen on the market is a crowd barrier that acts as a crowd barrier and at the same time, has an ashtray built into the pole. The pole itself has been manufactured to contain the cigarette butts and the canister that contains them is easily removed after each night. They are manufactured as free standing stanchions and also as wall mounted stanchions, where barrier ropes can be linked to the wall unit and to a free standing rope barrier. It means that people standing in line who are most likely to be smoking can now place their butts in an ashtray right next to them in line. This is a queue management system that has been carefully thought out which is a viable product for all the nightclub owners. If you consider that most nightclubs have crowd barriers in place and that there is no smoking permitted in indoor areas, this type of crowd barrier is a great addition to any club. People who enter will often go outside for a cigarette and are likely to throw their butts on the ground, but with the stanchions with built in ashtrays in place, we should be seeing products like this more often outside clubs.http://www.galleryproducts.com/up/barrier.jpg

We have also found some other great crowd barriers. These stanchions below feature a stainless steel pole and stainless steel barrier ropes. These crowd control barriers have a modern look to them and would be a great addition for outdoor use. The company also features an outdoor crowd barrier that’s been designed to withstand everyday use and if it were to become separated from the ground, it will be the hidden ground fixing that will break- meaning your brick work or cobble stone is protected from being damaged. Another great crowd barrier idea.

Stanchions

Cafe Banners are available with a plain finish or with a logo on one or both sides.

We've seen queue stanchions or crowd barriers being used in front of venues that allow patrons in and out of venues. But there are are also ways to use stanchions to keep people within areas. Take for example marquees or cafes. Often there will be an area that is closed off to people and only allowing certain patrons into an allocated area. IN doing this, there is better crowd control management. Patrons are able to know that they have exclusive access to an area and not have to mix in with the general public. Many major events that are outdoors often use the crowd barriers in a bid to close off general public access when they need to create a VIP area.

Other outdoor areas that make use of crowd barriers are cafes and restaurants. We've spotted cafes such as the one below, using the stanchion together with signage. This allows the restaurant to advertise and close off the area for the patrons. It creates a new space for them and also creates a fence or barrier where tables and chairs are placed and don't get "lost" out on the footpath. Together with umbrellas or overhead heaters, it also creates "housing" for the patrons outside.

In addition, the barrier with advertising stops other people from walking into, walking through or sitting down in the area as they are able to recognise that the stanchions indicate that this is part of the cafe. Advertising through placing stanchions can really work in your favour and it simply means that you can hold more customers at your shop.

You will find that many people will enjoy being outdoors as it provides an area for them to smoke and will also allow the public to view how popular the venue may be. Self promotion through a stanchion could be the best thing you ever provided for your business and customers.

Rope Barriers

Rope barrier have the potential to give any venue a statement. If you have ever seen a red carpet rolled out at exclusive functions, theatre or even weddings, you will find that rope fencing works both as a crowd control rope and also as a way of indicating a path or entry to a place of importance.

Rope barriers appear in all types of situations and appeal to everyone and entice people to enter the venue. You probably would use a retractable barrier or tensa barrier a these do not have the same appeal. The rope fencing is a great way of adding glamour to the venue as well. They often appear at weddings, office parties, catwalks for models- just about anywhere where there is high visibility as they will help a business or venue create an atmosphere for the crowd. Using them at galleries so that people do not get too close to pieces of art is another way of using the rope barrier. The rope barrier is also easy to store and pack away for another day.
Car dealerships also find the rope barrier a great way of protecting their vehicles. They can stop people from getting too close to the expensive vehicle on display. Having a rope barrier around to protect your assets can be a economical investment.

Usually, these crowd control barriers are made of a stainless steel so they are great for outdoor use. It also means that you will be able to use them for a number of years. The ropes themselves come in a range of colours. From red, black, white you name it, you can get it. And the great thing is you can change the ropes so you can have different rope barriers for different events. There are a number of great sites for barrier ropes which have been posted as a link.

Queue Management Barriers and Retail

Retail is a great place to use stanchions and today, we look at the barrier post use within the busy retail world. There are many large retail chains that use the crowd barrier as they are places that become busier each year. Without some type of crowd control the retail area could become chaotic and you might have more store walk outs than walk ins.

There are times when we have all experienced wanting to quickly grab something and get out of the store. And I'm sure you have also felt like leaving what you want from the shop and walking out because the whole process was frustrating or taking too long. Efficient use of space and time can be saved for each customer if they can visually see where to line up and find what they need.

There are many times where you'll see queue management being used around change rooms. This can be necessary if the area needs to be controlled. Especially if you have many customers coming through on a daily basis. Using the retractable types of barrier posts can stop patrons from going into the change rooms or into other areas that are for staff only. You can also help prevent shop lifters if you manage a space properly and with barrier posts you will be able to guide anyone into particular areas of your shop.

Another place where stanchions are used are at the cash register. Again, if you tend to have a lot of people entering your shop, you will find that being able to control a line of people will make the whole process of shopping easier for people. Eliminate people wanting to leave the store and give them a great shopping experience. A great advantage to using crowd control is that if you have a queue management system lined up in front of your registers, you could make full use of people waiting beside them. Why not add a few display stands or tubs full of smaller items for sale. That last minute purchase could make a difference to clearing that unwanted stock.

Barrier posts will enhance the "store-scape" and guide people to a better shopping experience. Retractable barrier post will enable your workers more control over their work and give them more time to do other things in the store besides trying to point out to customers where to line up. To really make efficient use of your set up with barrier posts, sign post where necessary. Take advantage of the stanchions in your shop and help make your customers shopping experience an enjoyable one.

Which Barrier Post is for you?

Depending on what your needs are the right barrier post can either be make or break your crowd control management. There should be a few things you should asses before deciding what kind of barrier post or stanchion you think might work best for you. Consider how much room you have- your venue entry. Determine this length and you will be able to find how many barrier posts you may need. Also think about the type of crowds that are going to be coming to your venue. The more people, the more likely people will be pushing their way through so you will want a barrier post that is going to stand up to that kind of traffic.

http://www.americanfencerental.com/pics/blockader/saltlake.jpg

As you can see with the above image, this place needs to manage a huge crowd of spectators and these types of barriers need to endure the environments and the crowds that it holds back. These heavy duty barriers need to be used in this type of application. There are many other types of heavy duty crowd controllers that can be used for these types of scenarios.

Barrier posts for everyday use that are used in many interior and commercial situations. For these types, you will want to look into what is easiest to use and think about the crowds that will enter your venue. Many people like to use these because they are light weight and durable. They also come in a number of colours which means they can highlight your venue entry or exit point. These types also have more uses and can be used in all sorts of line management situations. Different locking mechanisms can also be a determining factor in choosing your barrier post. Rope barrier posts tend to use a latch or hook system. Retractable barrier posts have a slide in and stretch mechanism. These are also easy to use. So depending on what kind of appearance you want to portray for your venue, this may also be a deciding factor into your barrier posts. You can also get barrier posts with rubber feet or roller feet. This is useful for indoors as you can have nonslip barrier posts or barrier posts that are great if you need to constantly manage your crowd.

There are some links to suppliers of barrier posts that have a great range of rope barrier posts, retractable barrier posts and other stanchions and accessories.

Barrier Posts

Queue Management Barriers:

http://www.londonbarandkitchen.com/images/u916.jpg

The Queue Management Barriers are everywhere around us.
Available in a range of coloured ropes and stand styles, the queue management barriers will ultimately make crowd control a lot easier. There will also be retractable barriers available in for queue management.

Any bank, night club, theme park or casino will find our crowd barriers to be a tool that they can not go without. Controlling crowds can be an issue if you don't have proper measures in place. Any kind of barrier will help guide people through lining up to get into a venue. Most people understand and respect why there might be a rope barrier in front of a venue, so leaving one unattended will usually speak for itself. Nightclubs simply love having these rope barriers outside their entrance. Having a bouncer at the front of the venue with their queue management system in place is doubly effective. No one gets in or out without permission.

Crowd barrier also allows bouncers to latch and un-latch, over and over again to let patrons in and out of the venue. The rope barrier tends to be used more and more clubs as they suggest that the venue you are entering is a lot nicer than where you are standing. So any place that has rope barriers or stanchions might be a place that could be worth lining up for.

Crowd control is something that any venue needs. The more popular the venue is, the more likely you may need more barriers. Crowd control barriers can be linked to however many stands you have or need. Many venues that are new like to also advertise the popularity of the place. You'll see a few of those barriers lined up outside with 40 odd people lining up against the stanchions. Passers by think that the place must be really good, so they'll join the queue. So the queue management barriers can work in your favour in a number of different ways. So promote your venue by making people line up outside your hidden venue next to crowd barriers and you should find an increase in patrons as people start talking about the line outside the door.

These images above are just some example of crowd barriers and more will be posted as queue management becomes a topic in this blog!
